HikerKidz is an initiative to get kids outdoors and to enjoy themselves in the process. Over on Instagram, we share our adventures and hikes with a great like-minded community.

Back in January, we held our first Hikerkidz meet up. Despite 50mph hour winds, it went very well. We walked around Mom Tor in the Peak District, as it was far too windy to go up!

The second meet up was at Luds Church, again in the peak District, where we met up with 3 other families. There was a total of 12 kids! We laughed, hiked, rolled down hills and had an absolute blast.

Meet Up 3

Instameet 3 was held at Padley Gorge in the Peak District.

Maverick Snacks kindly sent us SO many munchies to take with us, with prompt cards to have a bit of fun along the way. Their snacks are nutritious, allergen friendly and create a mischief maker out of anybody!

Ordnance Survey are also on board with HikerKidz and have kindly offered a discount for families on their OS Maps subscription. Their #GetOutside program is simply amazing and it is an honour that they acknowledge our efforts to get kids outdoors in fun and friendly ways.

We played pooh sticks, investigated ant hills, found biscuit shaped rocks and had so much fun in the rain! You can read more about our meet up here.
